The centuries-old palaces and charming squares are filled with local cafes and artisan shops, making it an ideal backdrop for a leisurely stroll and soaking in the Mediterranean atmosphere.

One of the standout landmarks near Old Split is the majestic Gregory of Nin statue, which is just a stone's throw away at 0.3 kilometers. This striking bronze statue, a symbol of resistance against the church's attempts to suppress the Croatian language, draws visitors for both its historical significance and its whimsical allure. Nearby, the Live Museum Split offers a unique and interactive experience, allowing visitors to step back in time and engage with the city’s history through lively reenactments. Just 0.5 kilometers away lies the Temple of Jupiter, an ancient Roman temple that stands as a testament to Split’s rich past. The intricate detailing of this temple left me in awe, reinforcing the idea that history is alive and breathing in every corner of the city.

As I continued my exploration, I stumbled upon Froggyland, a quirky museum that showcases over 500 taxidermy frogs in various amusing poses, just 0.3 kilometers from my location. It proved to be a delightful stop, filled with humor and creativity. Additionally, the Split City Museum and the Croatian Maritime Museum, each within 0.5 kilometers from the center, enriched my understanding of the city's evolution over the years. These attractions not only highlight the artistic and maritime heritage of Split but also underscore the city’s importance as a cultural hub along the Adriatic. This blend of historical landmarks and engaging museums made my time in Split truly unforgettable, leaving me longing to return to this captivating city.
