During my recent vacation in Makarska, I had the opportunity to explore a variety of stunning landmarks that highlight the region's natural beauty and cultural heritage. Just a kilometer from the center, the Peninsula of St. Peter offers panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea and the surrounding landscape, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll or a scenic picnic. Within the same distance, the lush Park Suma Osejava beckoned with its serene paths, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in its vibrant flora and fauna. A short walk away, the enchanting Makarska Harbour came alive with the color and energy of local fishermen and bustling cafes, while the Sveti Petar Lighthouse stood proudly at the peninsula's edge, providing a picturesque backdrop against the setting sun.

The cultural experiences in Makarska are equally enriching, as I discovered at the Muzej riba i rakova, just half a kilometer from the harbor, showcasing the area's rich maritime history and diverse aquatic life. A visit to St. Mark's Church, also a kilometer away, offered a glimpse into the town's history and architecture through its charming design and intricate interiors. Additionally, I couldn't resist the allure of Nature Park Biokovo, located just a short distance from the city, where breathtaking mountain landscapes await adventurous travelers. My stay in Makarska was a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration, with each landmark contributing to the captivating charm of this coastal gem.
