For those seeking adventure in nature, the nearby Nature Park Biokovo, only 1 kilometer away, provides breathtaking views, diverse flora and fauna, and numerous hiking trails that invite visitors to explore its majestic landscapes.

A short trek to Biokovo Mountain, 2 kilometers from Makarska, reveals some of the most awe-inspiring panoramas of the Adriatic Sea and the surrounding countryside. The mountain is a popular spot for hikers and nature enthusiasts, offering routes that cater to different skill levels. The journey rewards climbers with views of the beautifully rugged terrain and glimpses of distant islands. Back in the town, I enjoyed the ambiance of Makarska Harbour, just 1 kilometer away, where the vibrant waterfront buzzes with activity and offers a perfect spot to unwind while watching fishing boats and yachts sway in the gentle waves. Not far from the harbor, the Forest Park Osejava invites nature lovers to stroll through its serene paths, with the beautiful St. Mark's Church standing majestically just a kilometer away, showcasing the rich architectural history of the area. For a unique experience, I visited the Observatory located 2 kilometers from the town, where I marveled at the wonders of the night sky.
