Impressions

During my vacation in Makarska, I discovered a captivating blend of natural beauty and cultural richness. The town is steeped in history and boasts several intriguing landmarks just a stone’s throw away. One of my first stops was the Muzej riba i rakova, located a mere 0.3 km away, which showcases the diverse marine life of the region. Continuing my exploration, I wandered over to the Malacological Museum (0.5 km) to marvel at the extensive collection of shells and sea creatures. A leisurely walk along the scenic promenade led me to Kacic Square (0.3 km), where the vibrant atmosphere and charming cafes offered the perfect respite. From here, the Makarska Harbour (0.5 km) is easily accessible, providing stunning views of the sea and the majestic Biokovo Mountain looming in the background.

Adventure beckoned as I ventured further into the stunning landscapes surrounding Makarska. The 1 km trek to Biokovo Mountain provided breathtaking vistas, making it an ideal spot for hiking enthusiasts. Another gem nearby is the Sveti Petar Lighthouse, standing proudly just 1 km from the center, guiding both sailors and tourists alike. As I wandered the scenic trails, I couldn't resist visiting the beautiful Makarska Beach (1 km), with its pristine waters inviting me to take a refreshing dip. The Peninsula of St. Peter (1 km) offered tranquility and spectacular coastal views, while the historic St. Mark's Church (0.5 km) added a touch of traditional charm to my trip. Each landmark brought new layers to my experience, allowing me to embrace the essence of Makarska fully.
