During my vacation in Split, I was captivated by the rich history and vibrant culture that surrounded me. Just a short walk from my accommodation, I discovered the iconic landmarks that define this stunning coastal city. One of my first stops was the imposing statue of Gregory of Nin, a revered 10th-century bishop whose legacy is significant in Croatian history. Just a stone's throw away, the Cathedral of Saint Domnius stood majestically, its bell tower offering panoramic views of the city and the Adriatic Sea. The nearby church and monastery of St. Frane exuded tranquility, providing a serene spot away from the bustling crowds. As I meandered through the Old Split district, I found myself enchanted by the narrow alleys and ancient stone buildings that whispered tales from centuries past.

The vibrant Riva promenade was another highlight of my visit, bustling with locals and tourists alike, making it the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely stroll or a coffee while taking in the stunning views of the harbor. Not far from the Riva, I visited Froggyland, a quirky museum showcasing an unusual collection of stuffed frogs posed in various human scenarios, which provided a delightful and unique experience. Additionally, I found artistic inspiration at the Jaman Art Centre, a contemporary art space that featured local artists and creative exhibitions that reflected the region's cultural pulse. Each of these landmarks, all within a mere half kilometer from my starting point, added a layer of richness and exploration to my time in Split, making it an unforgettable destination filled with both history and creativity.
