During my recent vacation in Split, I was captivated by the city’s rich history and vibrant culture. Just a short stroll from my accommodations, I found several fascinating landmarks that spoke to Split's heritage. The iconic Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was a highlight, with its impressive Roman architecture and bustling atmosphere. Nearby, the Temple of Jupiter, dedicated to the Roman god, showcased ancient grandeur, while the joyful statue of Gregory of Nin invited exploration and photo opportunities. The Live Museum Split provided an interactive experience, allowing me to learn about the city's past in an engaging manner, making history come alive just half a kilometer from my base.

As I ventured further, the charms of Republic Square and the Ethnographic Museum beckoned. The square was a delightful area to relax and soak in the local ambiance, surrounded by cafes and shops. Not too far away, the Croatian Maritime Museum offered insights into the coastal city's naval history. I also took a moment to admire the artistic influences at the Jaman Art Centre, where contemporary art met historical significance. For a touch of greenery amidst the urban landscape, a leisurely walk through Old Split revealed quaint streets and hidden gems. I was also intrigued by the nearby Stadion Poljud, known for its unique architecture and vibrant events. The distance between these landmarks was so manageable that each outing felt like a new adventure, enriching my travel experience in Split.
