Impressions

During my vacation in Split, I was captivated by the rich history and vibrant culture that permeates the city. Just a stone's throw from my accommodation, the Church of Saint Martin, a quaint yet significant landmark, showcased beautiful Romanesque and Gothic architecture. Beyond this, I discovered the grand Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site that transported me back to the Roman era with its well-preserved structures and bustling atmosphere. The Riva, Split's enchanting waterfront promenade, proved to be the perfect spot to unwind, offering stunning views of the Adriatic Sea and an assortment of charming cafes. Additionally, nearby landmarks like the Croatian Maritime Museum and the Ethnographic Museum expanded my understanding of the region's maritime heritage and cultural diversity.

Exploring further, I ventured to the church and monastery of St. Frane, which provided a serene respite from the city's hustle and bustle, while the historical allure of Old Split left me in awe with its maze of narrow streets and vibrant local life. A short walk led me to the impressive Stadion Poljud, where the local football team plays, immersing myself in the passionate sports culture of the city. Overall, the proximity of these remarkable landmarks made my experience in Split unforgettable, allowing me to delve into its rich history and local traditions effortlessly.
