Impressions

During my vacation in Split, I was captivated by the city's rich history and remarkable landmarks. Just 2 kilometers from my accommodation was the Archaeological Museum of Split, where I immersed myself in a fascinating collection of artifacts that highlighted the region's ancient past. Strolling through the city, I could easily access the bustling Split Port, only a kilometer away, where spectacular views of the Adriatic Sea mingled with the aroma of freshly caught seafood from the nearby restaurants. Just a short walk from the port was the serene Church and Monastery of St. Frane, a peaceful sanctuary that offered a glimpse into the city's rich ecclesiastical heritage.

My exploration also took me to the iconic Gregory of Nin statue, a symbol of Croatian heritage, located just a kilometer from my base. The Split City Museum, situated nearby, fascinated me with its exhibits that captured the essence of the city’s history through the ages. The grandeur of the Peristyle of Diocletian's Palace immediately caught my eye; this Roman architectural marvel, just a short stroll away, was an unforgettable highlight of my trip. I also found myself enchanted by the Temple of Jupiter, a well-preserved monument that speaks to the Roman influence in the region. Wandering through Old Split, with its narrow cobblestone streets and vibrant local culture, I truly felt like I had stepped back in time, making my vacation an enriching experience filled with exploration and discovery.
