Impressions

During my vacation in Split, Croatia, I was captivated by the rich history and vibrant culture that the city has to offer. Just a short walk from my accommodation, I found Froggyland, a whimsical museum featuring a collection of taxidermied frogs in various playful settings—an unusual yet charming attraction. Nearby, the Ethnographic Museum Split provided fascinating insights into the region's customs and traditions, while the Church and Monastery of St. Frane offered a serene atmosphere for reflection and exploration. The amalgamation of history and artistry was apparent at the Split City Museum, which beautifully narrates the city's evolution through its captivating exhibits. Not far away, the Archaeological Museum Split houses ancient artifacts that further emphasized Split's rich past, making every corner of the city a lesson in history.

No visit to Split would be complete without wandering through Old Split, an enchanting area where I could stroll along ancient cobblestone streets lined with shops and cafes. The Cathedral of Saint Domnius, an iconic landmark, stood majestically at the heart of the city, drawing visitors with its stunning architecture and historical significance. The Live Museum Split offered an interactive experience where I could immerse myself in the playful reenactments of historical events. Just a little farther, the renowned Stadion Poljud showcased the city's passion for sports, particularly football. Every landmark I visited revealed a new layer of Split's charm, making my vacation an unforgettable journey through time and culture.
