Split, a vibrant coastal city in Croatia, is a treasure trove of history and culture. During my vacation, I explored a variety of landmarks that each tell a unique story about the city’s rich heritage. A short stroll from my accommodation led me to the Archaeological Museum, which is just 300 meters away and showcases artifacts from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. Nearby, the iconic Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a must-visit, with its imposing walls and fascinating history dating back to the 4th century. The bustling Riva, Split's waterfront promenade, is perfect for a leisurely walk, where I enjoyed stunning views of the Adriatic Sea and the vibrant atmosphere dotted with cafes and restaurants.

As I continued my exploration, I found myself wandering through the charming Republic Square and admiring the impressive Cathedral of Saint Domnius, which stands as the city’s centerpiece. Just a stone's throw away, the Temple of Jupiter and the Split City Museum provided further insights into the city's past. For art enthusiasts, the Jaman Art Centre offered an engaging glimpse into contemporary Croatian art. The Ethnographic Museum, located about 1 kilometer from my lodgings, beautifully showcases the traditions and daily life of the local people, while the surrounding streets are brimming with history and culture. Each of these landmarks contributes to Split's unique charm, making it an unforgettable destination.
