During my recent vacation in Split, Croatia, I had the opportunity to explore a city rich in history and culture, with a myriad of landmarks just a short distance from my accommodations. Just 1 km away, Stadion Poljud captivated me with its modern architecture, often buzzing with the energy of local football matches. I also visited the Split City Museum and the Ethnographic Museum Split, both of which offered fascinating insights into the region's heritage and traditions. The Archaeological Museum Split, a mere stroll away, showcased a treasure trove of artifacts that tell the story of the area from ancient times. As I wandered through the charming streets of Old Split, I was enveloped in the enchanting atmosphere of the historic Roman architecture that characterizes the city.

No visit to Split is complete without stopping by some of its most iconic sights. The awe-inspiring Cathedral of Saint Domnius and the adjacent church and monastery of St. Frane both reminded me of the deep religious and cultural roots of the city. I also enjoyed a leisurely walk along the Riva, Split's picturesque waterfront promenade, where the stunning views of the Adriatic Sea and bustling local life create a vibrant backdrop. The Live Museum Split, offering a unique interactive experience, was an unexpected delight that added a fun twist to my exploration. Each landmark within this 1 km radius not only enhanced my vacation experience but also deepened my appreciation for the rich tapestry of history that defines this beautiful coastal city.
