Impressions
During my vacation in Split, I was captivated by the city's rich history and vibrant culture, which is beautifully encapsulated in its historic landmarks. Just a short walk from my accommodation, the Old Split area, with its cobbled streets and well-preserved Roman architecture, offered a glimpse into the past. Not far from this enchanting district lies the Temple of Jupiter, an impressive Roman structure that showcases the region's ancient heritage. Additionally, I explored the Church and Monastery of St. Frane, a serene place that reflects the city's spiritual legacy. The picturesque Riva, Split's waterfront promenade, provided a perfect atmosphere for leisurely strolls while enjoying stunning views of the Adriatic Sea.
In addition to these historical sites, I spent time in the nearby Croatian Maritime Museum, which chronicles the maritime history of Croatia and adds a unique dimension to Split’s cultural landscape. Art lovers will appreciate the Jaman Art Centre, and for those seeking a blend of history and fun, the Live Museum Split offers interactive exhibitions that bring the past to life. I also visited the Split City Museum and the Ethnographic Museum, both of which provide fascinating insights into the local culture and traditions. The magnificent array of attractions within a short distance of each other truly made my stay in Split unforgettable, allowing me to immerse myself in the city's artistic and historical narratives.
