Rosmarinus Rubic Studio Split

During my vacation in Split, I was captivated by the city's rich history and stunning architecture. A short 0.3 km stroll from my accommodation brought me to the iconic Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to the 4th century. This magnificent structure served as the retirement residence of the Roman Emperor Diocletian, and its sprawling complex is filled with impressive landmarks such as the Peristyle and the Cathedral of Saint Domnius. Nearby, I discovered Froggyland, an eccentric museum featuring over 500 taxidermied frogs in whimsical poses, just a stone's throw away, as well as the intriguing Live Museum Split, where the fascinating history of the region is presented through interactive exhibitions.

Further exploration led me to the Croatian Maritime Museum, located 0.5 km from my base, where the maritime heritage of Croatia came to life through a diverse array of artifacts and exhibits. I also took time to visit Gregory of Nin, a revered statue that stands as a testament to the historical figure's influence on the Croatian language and culture, just a 0.3 km walk from the palace. Old Split, with its charming narrow streets and vibrant atmosphere, was another highlight of my journey, while the Archaeological Museum Split, just 1 km away, offered an insightful glimpse into the region’s ancient history. To top off my cultural experiences, the Jaman Art Centre, also 0.5 km from my location, showcased contemporary Croatian art, allowing me to engage with the artistic pulse of the city. Each landmark added a new layer of appreciation for Split’s vibrant tapestry of history and culture, making my vacation an unforgettable experience.
