Split, the pearl of the Adriatic, is renowned for its rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant lifestyle. During my visit, I stayed in the heart of the city, just 3 km from the City Center one Split, which made exploring the area exceptionally convenient. The welcoming atmosphere of Split, with its charming cafes and local shops, drew me in immediately. Whether browsing the items at the lively markets or savoring a cup of coffee in the sun, every moment felt special. Nearby, the iconic Cathedral of Saint Domnius stood proudly just 5 kilometers away. This remarkable structure, originally built in the 4th century, showcases beautiful Romanesque architecture and offers breathtaking views from its bell tower.

One cannot visit Split without immersing themselves in the historical significance of Diocletian's Palace, located a mere 3 km from my stay. This UNESCO World Heritage site is not only a stunning example of Roman architecture but also a vibrant living part of the city today, with shops, restaurants, and residences nestled within its ancient walls. As I wandered through the narrow alleys of the palace, I was transported back in time, imagining the bustling life that once thrived there. Just a short distance from the palace, the Diocletianus Aqueduct offered a fascinating glimpse into the engineering feats of ancient Rome, an impressive reminder of the city’s storied past.

After indulging in Split's historical treasures, I delighted in the coastal charm offered by several beautiful beaches. Znjan City Beach and Trstenik Znjan beach, both within 2 kilometers, provided the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea. A quick trip to Lidl Makarska or Plodine, both conveniently just 0.5 km away, made it easy to grab refreshments for a relaxing beach day. Additionally, the juxtaposition of the serene coastline with the majestic backdrop of Mosor Mountain, merely 3 km from the city, offered endless opportunities for hiking and exploring nature. My vacation in Split was a perfect blend of history, culture, and relaxation, leaving me with unforgettable memories of this enchanting coastal city.
