During my recent vacation in Split, I was captivated by the rich history and vibrant culture of this stunning coastal city. Just a short stroll from my accommodation, I found the impressive Gregory of Nin statue, a symbol of resistance against the church's authority and a beloved cultural icon for locals. Nearby, the church and monastery of St. Frane offered a tranquil escape with its serene architecture and beautiful gardens. I took the opportunity to explore the Split City Museum, where artifacts and exhibitions provided a deep dive into the city's storied past. The lively Riva promenade was the perfect place to unwind, lined with cafes and restaurants where I could enjoy the warm Mediterranean air while watching the bustling activity of the Split Port.

Continuing my exploration, I made my way to the intriguing Live Museum Split, an interactive attraction that brings the city's history to life through engaging performances. Just a bit further, I visited the famous Stadion Poljud, home to the local Hajduk Split football team, a must-see for sports enthusiasts. A few kilometers away, the Mestrovic Gallery showcased the incredible works of Croatia's most renowned sculptor, Ivan Mestrovic, set against the stunning backdrop of the Marjan forest park. Each landmark I visited contributed to my understanding of Split's unique blend of ancient history and contemporary charm, leaving me with unforgettable memories of a city that truly celebrates its heritage.
