Just a stone's throw away from the bustling beaches, the majestic Biokovo Mountain looms 1 kilometer from the town center, providing a breathtaking backdrop for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. The mountain’s rugged landscape offers numerous hiking trails, presenting visitors with panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea and the Dalmatian coastline. Nearby, the serene Ratac Beach, located just 0.5 kilometers away, serves as a perfect spot for relaxation, sunbathing, and enjoying the tranquil ambiance of the area’s crystal-clear waters.

Exploring the vibrant heart of Makarska, I discovered the lively Kacic Square, merely 1 kilometer from my accommodation. This charming square is adorned with historical structures and is bustling with cafes and shops, making it the perfect place to immerse oneself in local culture and cuisine. Just a short distance away is the Malacological Museum, situated 2 kilometers from the square, which showcases an impressive collection of shells and marine life, reflecting the biodiversity of the Adriatic Sea. The nearby Donja Luka beach, also about 1 kilometer away, provided a well-deserved place to unwind after exploring the town’s rich offerings.

One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the stunning Sveti Petar Lighthouse, located around 2 kilometers from the town center on the picturesque Peninsula of St. Peter. This scenic area is ideal for leisurely walks along the coastline and offers stunning views of the surrounding islands. I also had the opportunity to visit the impressive Vepric Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, which is just 2 kilometers away and provides a serene atmosphere for reflection and spirituality. With each landmark offering a unique glimpse into the natural and cultural tapestry of Makarska, my stay was filled with unforgettable experiences that I will cherish for a lifetime.
