Marmont Heritage Hotel (Adults Only) Split

During my recent vacation in Split, I was captivated by the city’s rich tapestry of history and culture, all easily accessible within a short walk from my accommodation. Nestled just 300 meters away was the remarkable Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site that served as the home for the Roman Emperor Diocletian in the 4th century. Wandering through its ancient walls, I also visited the nearby Cathedral of Saint Domnius, whose bell tower offers breathtaking views of the city’s sprawling landscape. Just a stone’s throw away, I discovered the fascinating Temple of Jupiter and the vibrant Jaman Art Centre, which showcases contemporary Croatian art, while Froggyland, a quirky museum housing a collection of taxidermy frogs in whimsical poses, provided a delightful and unexpected diversion.

As I explored Old Split, I was enchanted by its narrow stone streets, local markets, and charming cafés, all buzzing with the vibrant energy of this coastal city. A pleasant stroll led me to the Split Port, just a kilometer away, where the beautiful Adriatic Sea glistened under the sun, offering ferry connections to nearby islands. For those interested in maritime history, the Croatian Maritime Museum, located about a kilometer from the heart of the city, displayed a captivating array of artifacts showcasing the region's seafaring past. Completing my cultural exploration, the Split City Museum provided insights into the city's evolution from antiquity to the present day. Each landmark I visited painted a fuller picture of Split's historical significance, leaving me with cherished memories of this stunning destination.
