During my vacation in Split, I had the opportunity to explore both its stunning coastal beauty and its rich historical heritage. Just a few minutes from my accommodation was Bačvice Beach, a vibrant hub for sunbathers and swimmers alike, known for its soft sandy shore and shallow waters that are perfect for families. The beach's proximity at only 0.3 kilometers from the city center made it an ideal spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing. As I ventured into the heart of the city, landmarks such as the bustling Riva promenade and the impressive Diocletian's Palace—both just 1 kilometer away—captivated me with their timeless charm, offering a blend of ancient architectural grandeur and modern-day vibrancy.
Just a short walk from these iconic sites, I discovered the richness of Split's cultural scene. The Live Museum Split, only 1 kilometer away, provided a quirky and interactive glimpse into the city's history, while the Ethnographic Museum and the Archaeological Museum, each within 2 kilometers, presented incredible collections that showcased the region's diverse heritage.
