Impact House Split Hostel

During my vacation in Split, I was captivated by the vibrant blend of history and modern life that permeated the city. One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the iconic Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to the Roman Empire. This monumental palace, built for Emperor Diocletian in the 4th century, serves as the heart of Split, featuring impressive architecture and bustling squares where locals and tourists alike gather. Just a short walk from the palace, I explored the majestic Cathedral of Saint Domnius, which rises proudly above the city, and marveled at its stunning bell tower. Nearby, the Temple of Jupiter offered a glimpse into ancient religious practices, while the statue of Gregory of Nin nearby stands as a tribute to Croatia's rich cultural history.

Beyond these historical landmarks, the Riva promenade provided a perfect setting for leisurely strolls along the waterfront, lined with cafes and shops. I enjoyed soaking in the lively atmosphere and lively street performances. The Archaeological Museum, located just a couple of kilometers away, deepened my appreciation for the region's ancient past, showcasing artifacts that tell the story of Split's evolution over millennia. For a touch of whimsy, Froggyland entertained me with its unique collection of preserved frogs in quirky poses, proving that there's always room for fun amid the historical splendor. Additionally, the Joker Shopping Centre, conveniently located just half a kilometer from my accommodations, offered a modern contrast to the historic sites with its array of shops and eateries, making my visit to Split a well-rounded experience.
