Slavija Culture Heritage Hotel Split

During my recent vacation in Split, I was captivated by the city's rich history and vibrant atmosphere. Located just 0.3 km away from my accommodation was the majestic Gregory of Nin, a striking statue believed to protect and bless all who touch its toe. Nearby, the lively Riva, Split’s picturesque waterfront promenade, offered a perfect spot for leisurely strolls and al fresco dining, with restaurants and cafes buzzing with locals and tourists alike. Just a short walk away, the Split City Museum showcased the region’s intriguing past, while Froggyland, merely 0.5 km from the center, offered a whimsical experience of over 500 antique frogs in unique poses, delighting visitors of all ages. Each landmark contributed to the enchanting tapestry that forms the historic center of Split.

A centerpiece of my explorations was the Peristyle of Diocletian's Palace, an architectural wonder that dates back to the Roman era, and served as a grand entrance to the palace complex. The atmosphere in this ancient square was enhanced by the live performances and diverse gatherings of tourists and locals. Just steps away, the Church and Monastery of St. Frane provided a serene retreat, while the Ethnographic Museum revealed fascinating aspects of local culture and traditions. Additionally, a visit to the Live Museum Split allowed me to enjoy a more interactive experience, showcasing the culture and history of the area through engaging exhibits. Each site I visited highlighted Split’s unique blend of historical grandeur and contemporary vitality, making my vacation a truly memorable experience.
