Hotel Maritimo Makarska

During my recent vacation in Makarska, I was captivated by the stunning natural beauty and vibrant atmosphere of this charming coastal town. Nestled along the Adriatic Sea, Makarska boasts an array of attractions and landmarks that make it a perfect destination for travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure. One of the highlights of my trip was the renowned Makarska Beach, located just 300 meters from my accommodation. This picturesque stretch of pebbly shore, framed by the azure waters of the sea and backed by swaying palm trees, was the ideal spot for sunbathing and swimming. Additionally, I had the pleasure of trying parasailing, just a stone's throw away from the beach, which provided breathtaking views of the coastline.

Exploring further afield, I discovered several remarkable nearby landmarks. Bilosevac, just a kilometer away, offers stunning viewpoints that overlook the town and the sea, making it a worthwhile trek for any nature enthusiast. The wander through Ratac, only 300 meters distant, revealed beautiful coves and serene beaches, perfect for a peaceful escape from the more crowded areas. For a touch of cultural heritage, I visited Kacic Square, about one kilometer from the heart of the town, which is a popular gathering spot adorned with charming cafes and shops. Not far from there is the City Museum, where I learned about the rich local history and maritime traditions that have shaped Makarska over centuries.

My exploration of Makarska was further enriched by visits to several other landmarks. The Mlinice area, only two kilometers away, features scenic walking trails that meander alongside the river, leading to lush green landscapes and the remnants of historic mills. The striking Sveti Petar Lighthouse, located about two kilometers from the town center, stands as a sentinel overlooking the sea, while the Muzej riba i rakova (Fish and Crustacean Museum) offered intriguing insights into the marine life of the Adriatic, just a kilometer from my hotel. Overall, my vacation in Makarska was a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural exploration, underscoring the beauty and diversity of this Mediterranean gem.
