One of my favorite spots was Firule Beach, located just 1 km from the city center. Its serene ambiance and crystal-clear waters provided a perfect escape for relaxation and sunbathing. A leisurely stroll of only 2 km led me to Znjan City Beach, a vibrant destination bustling with beachgoers and lined with cafes, where I enjoyed delightful refreshments while soaking in the lively atmosphere. The proximity of Diocletian's Palace—just 3 km away—allowed me to immerse myself in the ancient history of Split, as this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a glimpse into the past with its well-preserved Roman architecture. Nearby, the iconic Gregory of Nin statue stood as a tribute to the 10th-century bishop, adding cultural depth to the historic landscape.
In addition to these picturesque beaches and historical landmarks, I took time to visit the Croatian Maritime Museum, just a 2 km walk from the city center, where I learned about the rich maritime history of Croatia. The museum's fascinating exhibits and artifacts served as a reminder of the country’s naval legacy. After indulging in cultural exploration, I discovered GBB Concept, located only 1 km from my accommodation. This trendy eatery offered a unique gastronomic experience, blending modern culinary techniques with traditional Croatian flavors. To round off my days in Split, I headed to Bacvice Beach, merely 2 km away, renowned for its vibrant nightlife. The perfect combination of relaxation, history, and culinary delights made my vacation in Split an unforgettable experience.
