During my vacation in Split, I was captivated by the city's vibrant blend of history and modernity. One of the highlights of my exploration was the Church of Saint Martin, located just 0.3 kilometers from my accommodations. This charming little church, with its serene ambiance and beautiful architecture, provided a peaceful escape amidst the bustling city. Strolling through the historic streets, I soon found myself at the Riva, Split’s picturesque waterfront promenade, just a short 0.5 kilometers away. The Riva is not only a perfect spot for leisurely strolls, but it also offers stunning views of the harbor and the surrounding hills, making it an ideal place to unwind and soak up the lively atmosphere.
Venturing further along the waterfront, I discovered a plethora of fascinating landmarks within close proximity. The Croatian Maritime Museum, also 0.5 kilometers from the Riva, showcases the region’s rich nautical history through engaging exhibits. Another gem nearby is the Live Museum Split, where I enjoyed interactive performances that brought the city’s past to life. The Split Port, a bustling hub of ferries and yachts, added to the maritime charm, while the Church and Monastery of St. Frane, just half a kilometer away, revealed more of Split's spiritual heritage. For a quirky diversion, I visited Froggyland, also within walking distance, where whimsical displays of stuffed frogs in various dioramas captivated visitors of all ages. Each of these landmarks enriched my understanding of Split, making my vacation an unforgettable experience steeped in culture and history.
