Impressions
During my vacation in Split, I was captivated by the city's vibrant blend of history and modernity, characterized by its stunning landmarks and picturesque waterfront. One of the highlights was the Riva, the bustling waterfront promenade filled with lively cafés and restaurants. It served as the perfect spot to relax while enjoying the view of the Adriatic Sea and observing the local life. Just a short stroll away, the Split City Museum provided a deep dive into the city’s rich heritage, showcasing artifacts that tell the story of its intriguing past. Nearby, the Archaeological Museum offered a glimpse into ancient times, with displays of Roman and Greek relics that further enhanced my understanding of Split's historical significance.
To satisfy my artistic and cultural cravings, I also visited several unique attractions. The Live Museum Split fascinated me with its interactive displays, allowing visitors to experience the history of the city in a dynamic way. A little bit further, the prestigious Meštrović Gallery showcased the works of the renowned Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović, whose pieces are a tribute to his homeland. Additionally, Stadion Poljud, located just two kilometers away, is not only an architectural marvel but also a hub for local football culture, where fervent fans come together to cheer for their team. Lastly, I found Froggyland, a quirky museum featuring an array of stuffed frogs engaged in human activities, to be a delightful and whimsical end to my exploration of Split. Each landmark contributed uniquely to my appreciation of this charming Croatian city, making my vacation truly memorable.
