Coloured Rooms Split

During my recent vacation in Split, I was captivated by the city's rich history and vibrant culture. Among the must-see landmarks was the Croatian Maritime Museum, just a short kilometer from where I stayed. This fascinating museum showcases Croatia's maritime heritage, featuring a diverse collection of artifacts, ship models, and exhibits that narrate the stories of the Adriatic Sea. A leisurely stroll through the bustling streets also brought me to the imposing Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site that dates back to the 4th century. This ancient Roman complex pulsates with life, as locals and tourists alike fill its perimeters with shops, cafes, and market stalls, all while admiring the stunning architecture that has withstood the test of time.

Beyond the palace, the charm of Split unfolds with landmarks like the Cathedral of Saint Domnius, recognizable by its iconic bell tower, and the tranquil Church and Monastery of St. Frane, which exudes an air of serenity just a short walk away. I couldn't resist visiting the captivating Gregory of Nin statue, which stands proudly to welcome visitors into the heart of the city. Exploring the Riva, Split’s vibrant waterfront promenade, was a daily delight as I savored the local cuisine and soaked in the sun. Additionally, the Joker Shopping Centre, conveniently located just half a kilometer from my accommodation, offered a modern contrast to the historic charm nearby. Ultimately, my days in Split were enriched by the seamless blend of ancient landmarks, a lively atmosphere, and the stunning backdrop of the Adriatic Sea, making it a truly unforgettable getaway.
