Impressions
During my recent vacation in the picturesque city of Split, I found myself captivated by its rich history and stunning landmarks. At the heart of the city lies the vibrant Riva, a lovely waterfront promenade just 1 km from my accommodation. This lively area is perfect for leisurely strolls or relaxing at one of the many cafes while admiring the views of the nearby harbor. Not far from Riva, I explored the enchanting Old Split, a historic district merely 0.5 km away, known for its winding cobblestone streets and ancient architecture. Highlights from this area include the Split City Museum and the Croatian Maritime Museum, both only 1 km away, where I delved into the local culture and maritime heritage.
As I continued my explorations, the charming Froggyland, a quirky museum showcasing an impressive collection of taxidermied frogs in artistic poses, was just a short walk away at 0.5 km. I was also intrigued by the Archaeological Museum Split, located just 1 km away, which houses artifacts that trace the region's history back to ancient times. A bit farther, at 2 km from the city center, the impressive Stadion Poljud caught my eye, a must-visit for sports enthusiasts. Additionally, I enjoyed visiting the serene church and monastery of St. Frane, only 1 km away, which provided a tranquil retreat amidst the bustling city. My vacation was an unforgettable blend of cultural immersion, beautiful vistas, and historical exploration.
