During my vacation in Split, I was captivated by the stunning blend of ancient history and vibrant culture that permeates this picturesque coastal city. Just a short stroll from my accommodation, the Cathedral of Saint Domnius, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, rose majestically against the skyline. Its impressive bell tower, which offers panoramic views of the city, served as a compelling reminder of Split's rich historical tapestry. Nearby, the bustling Riva waterfront bustled with life, offering a perfect spot to unwind while enjoying a coffee or gelato amidst the backdrop of palm trees and sailboats. A leisurely walk through Old Split revealed a labyrinth of charming stone streets, where quaint shops and cafes provided glimpses into local life, all while surrounded by the stunning architecture of centuries past.

Exploring further afield, I was thrilled to discover the Archaeological Museum Split, approximately 2 kilometers from the city center, which houses an extensive collection of artifacts that illuminate the region's storied past. A visit to the Live Museum Split, just a stone's throw away from the bustling Riva and Old Split, provided a unique interactive experience, showcasing traditional costumes and historical re-enactments. Not to be missed was Froggyland, a quirky attraction featuring over 200 stuffed frogs in humorous poses, just down the street from the Cathedral. Additionally, the Church of Saint Martin, a hidden gem just 300 meters from the cathedral, captured my admiration with its stunning Romanesque architecture. Each landmark enriched my understanding and appreciation of this beautiful city, making my vacation in Split truly unforgettable.
