During my vacation in the stunning coastal town of Makarska, I was captivated by the serene beauty of the Adriatic Sea and the vibrant atmosphere that filled the streets. Just a short stroll from my accommodation, I visited a variety of cultural landmarks that showcased the rich history of the town. The City Museum, located only 0.5 km away, offered fascinating insights into Makarska's heritage, while the Malacological Museum, just 1 km from the harbor, showcased an impressive collection of shells and marine life. I also made sure to spend some time at the iconic St. Marc Cathedral, which not only boasts beautiful architecture but is also a central point of interest in the town’s square.

In addition to the historical sites, I was drawn to the natural beauty surrounding Makarska, especially the majestic Biokovo Mountain, located a mere 0.5 km from the bustling harbor. The nearby Sveti Petar Lighthouse, just 0.5 km away, provided a picturesque backdrop for sunset walks along the coastline. For relaxation, Donja Luka beach, located only 0.5 km from the city center, offered a perfect spot to unwind by the sea. On one of my evenings in Makarska, I visited Casino ARENA, which was conveniently just 0.3 km away, adding a bit of excitement to my trip. I also enjoyed a unique experience at the Muzej riba i rakova, located 1 km from my base, where I learned about the local fish and crustaceans, adding to the depth of my understanding of this beautiful seaside town.
