One standout location is the enchanting Forest Park Osejava, just 0.5 km from the town center. This lush park, with its winding walking trails and panoramic viewpoints, offers a serene escape into nature, perfect for leisurely strolls or a picnic amidst the pine trees. As I wandered through the park, the views of the Adriatic Sea and the surrounding islands took my breath away, reaffirming Makarska's reputation as a hidden gem along the Croatian coast.

On my exploration of Makarska, I discovered several fascinating landmarks that added layers to the town's charm. The nearby Observatory, located only 0.3 km away, piqued my curiosity as it provided opportunities for stargazing and learning about celestial phenomena. A short distance from there, the Sveti Petar Lighthouse stood proudly at 0.5 km away, providing a historical touch to the dramatic coastline. This iconic lighthouse, with its striking white facade, is not only a guide for sailors but also a fantastic viewpoint for visitors looking to capture the picturesque vistas of the Adriatic.
