Impressions
Supetar, a charming coastal town on the island of Brač, welcomed me with its picturesque waterfront and vibrant local culture. One of the highlights of my stay was the beautiful Beach Supetrus, just a short 0.5 km stroll from the town center. This lovely beach provided a perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun, with its crystal-clear waters inviting for a refreshing swim. Just around the corner, the tranquil Supetar Bay offered stunning views, and I often found myself gazing at the sunset reflecting on the water. The close proximity of the local aqua park, situated merely 1 km away, added to the enjoyment, especially for families seeking some water-based fun.
Exploring Supetar's rich cultural heritage was another rewarding part of my vacation. Within a half-kilometer radius, I visited the striking Church of the Annunciation, known for its elegant architecture and serene atmosphere. The nearby Ivan Rendic Gallery, dedicated to the works of the renowned sculptor, showcased captivating art pieces in a charming setting. For those with an interest in local craftsmanship, the Jaksic Gallery, located about 5 km outside of Supetar, presented an impressive collection of contemporary Croatian art, enriching my understanding of the island's artistic scene.
My adventures in Supetar also led me to some intriguing historical sites, including the Mausoleum of the Petrinovic Family and the Supetar cemetery, both just a short walk away at 0.5 km and 1 km, respectively. These sites offered a glimpse into the island's past, with beautifully maintained graves and cultural significance. Additionally, taking a leisurely walk to see the Tri mosta, a trio of picturesque stone bridges just 1 km from the center, was a delightful experience. The Ilic House Complex, about 5 km away, allowed me to explore traditional Croatian architecture, and its rich history made it an essential stop on my journey. Overall, Supetar's blend of natural beauty and cultural landmarks made my vacation an unforgettable experience.
