During my vacation in Makarska, I was captivated by the stunning natural beauty and vibrant atmosphere of this charming coastal town along the Dalmatian coast. Nestled between the majestic Biokovo mountain range and the sparkling Adriatic Sea, Makarska is known for its picturesque harbor that offers a stunning backdrop for leisurely strolls. Just a kilometer away from the harbor, I enjoyed the local vibe while wandering through the promenade lined with charming cafes and shops that enhanced the overall experience of my trip.

One of the highlights of my visit was the nearby Vepric Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, located just 2 kilometers away from the town center. This serene spiritual site is set amidst lush greenery and features replicas of the Lourdes grotto, providing a peaceful sanctuary for reflection and serenity. Additionally, I explored cultural attractions like the Muzej riba i rakova, also about 1 kilometer from the harbor, which showcases the fascinating marine life of the region. After soaking in the local culture, I spent quality time at the Casino ARENA Makarska, just 300 meters from my accommodation, where I tried my luck at the gaming tables and mingled with locals and tourists alike.

To unwind, I visited the stunning beaches nearby. Donja Luka Beach, just 300 meters away, is the perfect spot for sunbathing and swimming in the crystal-clear waters, while the nearby Ratac and Biokovka beaches offered a more tranquil ambiance for those seeking a quieter retreat. As the sun began to set, I took a short walk to the Observatory, only 500 meters from the town center. The view from there was breathtaking, allowing me to soak in the beauty of the Adriatic horizon, making my time in Makarska truly unforgettable.
