Impressions
During my recent vacation in Split, I had the perfect mix of relaxation and exploration, underscored by the city’s rich history and stunning coastal vistas. Just a short walk from where I was staying, the Parish Church of St. Lawrence offered a charming glimpse into the local culture, with its quaint architecture and serene atmosphere. The church, located only 0.5 km from my accommodation, provided a tranquil retreat amidst the bustling energy of the city. After visiting the church, I ventured towards the beautiful beach camp at Stobrec, which was conveniently nearby at just 0.5 km away. This picturesque stretch of coastline was the perfect spot to unwind, soak up the sun, and enjoy the gentle waves of the Adriatic Sea.
Exploring further afield, I discovered the vibrant Znjan City Beach, located approximately 4 km away. Known for its lively atmosphere and stunning views, it was a favorite hangout for both locals and tourists alike. The beach was lined with beach bars and restaurants where I indulged in delicious seafood while enjoying the beautiful sunset. Just a short distance from Znjan was the lively Chameleon Club, which is also about 4 km away, offering a vibrant nightlife scene for those wanting to dance the night away. Additionally, I made my way to the impressive TVrdava Kuk, a fortress located about 4 km from the city center, which provided breathtaking panoramic views and a fascinating insight into the region’s historical significance.
On my way back, I swung by the nearby Lidl in Makarska, only 3 km away, to stock up on some local snacks and beverages to enjoy by the beach. I also took a scenic drive through the quaint village of Mravince, just 3 km from my resort, which offered a picturesque glimpse of traditional Dalmatian life. This blend of natural beauty, historical landmarks, and modern amenities made my stay in Split an unforgettable experience, rich in both relaxation and adventure.
