This architectural marvel, originally built as a mausoleum for the Roman Emperor Diocletian, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and easily accessible within a 0.3 km walk. Nearby, I explored the Church of Saint Martin, a lesser-known gem that dates back to the early Christian period, and the bustling Republic Square, where locals and visitors alike gather to enjoy coffee and watch the world go by. For a touch of culture, the Jaman Art Centre and the Ethnographic Museum Split are both within the same distance, offering glimpses into both contemporary and historical Croatian art and traditions.

Beyond the immediate landmarks, I ventured a bit further to the picturesque church and monastery of St. Frane, which is a mere 0.5 km away. This serene retreat provided a welcome escape from the lively streets of the city. I was fascinated by the Live Museum Split, a unique interactive experience that brings history to life, also conveniently located within a short walk. Each of these attractions highlighted the eclectic charm of Split, a city where ancient history intertwines seamlessly with modern life. My time in Split was a delightful exploration of culture, art, and history, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Adriatic Sea.
