Just a short stroll from my accommodation, I discovered a treasure trove of landmarks that illuminated the city’s rich cultural heritage. The iconic Diocletian's Palace, which is not only a UNESCO World Heritage site but also a bustling hub of activity, stood as a testament to Roman architecture. Nearby, the Cathedral of Saint Domnius, with its stunning bell tower, offered a breathtaking view of the city and a peek into Split's ecclesiastical history. Other noteworthy attractions included the Gregory of Nin statue, a symbol of the fight for Croatian culture and language, and the intimate Church of Saint Martin, which provided a serene contrast to the grandeur of the palace.
