This serene site, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, is an idyllic spot for reflection amid its tranquil gardens and beautiful chapels. Additionally, the nearby Sveti Petar Peninsula, only 1 kilometer from the town center, provides enchanting views and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for leisurely walks. At just half a kilometer from Makarska, Ratac is another picturesque area, inviting visitors to explore its secluded beaches and crystal-clear waters. The Sveti Petar Lighthouse, 1 kilometer away, stands as a historic beacon, offering splendid views of the coastline and making it a favorite spot for sunset watching.

Cultural enthusiasts will find plenty of engaging activities nearby, such as the City Museum and the Malacological Museum, both located a mere 0.5 and 1 kilometer away, respectively. The City Museum showcases local history and artifacts, while the Malacological Museum is a hidden gem for shell enthusiasts, boasting an impressive collection that highlights the region's maritime biodiversity. For those interested in astronomy, the Observatory, just half a kilometer away, is an intriguing stop that enhances the experience of Makarska’s clear night skies. Each of these landmarks contributed to an unforgettable vacation, making my time in Makarska rich with exploration and discovery.
