During my recent vacation in Makarska, I was captivated by the stunning beauty of the Dalmatian Coast, complemented by the vibrant local culture. My accommodation was conveniently located just 300 meters from the sparkling shores of Donja Luka Beach, where I spent countless hours soaking up the sun and enjoying the crystal-clear waters. I also explored the nearby Makarska Beach, famous for its picturesque promenade lined with lively cafes and restaurants, which created the perfect atmosphere for leisurely strolls in the evenings. The allure of both beaches made them my go-to spots for relaxation and beach activities.

A short walk from the beach led me to Kacic Square, a vibrant heart of the town where locals and tourists alike gather. Here, I marveled at the historic St. Mark's Church, just a kilometer away, which features stunning architectural details and serves as a focal point for local festivities. As I wandered through the square, I enjoyed the lively atmosphere, with street performers and bustling markets showcasing local crafts. For those who crave adventure, just 300 meters away, I found opportunities for parasailing with Parasailing Makarska, providing an exhilarating bird’s-eye view of the coastline and the majestic Biokovo Mountain in the background.

For a touch of spirituality and serenity, I ventured a little further to the Vepric Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, located about two kilometers from my base, where the tranquil surroundings provided a beautiful escape from the busyness of the town. I also took a leisurely hike to the nearby Observatory, just 500 meters away, where I enjoyed panoramic views of the region and learned about the night sky. Completing my exploration of Makarska, I visited the picturesque Peninsula of St. Peter and enjoyed the stunning views of the Adriatic Sea. My vacation in Makarska was enriched by these diverse experiences and nearby landmarks, making it an unforgettable getaway.
