During my recent vacation in the picturesque town of Makarska, I was captivated by its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. The town is nestled along the stunning Adriatic coast, framed by the impressive Biokovo Mountain, which looms majestically just a couple of kilometers from the heart of the town. Makarska is known for its beautiful beaches, with the famous Bilosevac Beach and Makarska Beach just a short walk away, offering pristine waters and sun-soaked relaxation. The vibrant promenade lined with cafes and shops invites visitors to indulge in the local cuisine and refreshments while soaking in the atmosphere of this charming coastal town.

Exploring Makarska's landmarks was a highlight of my trip. Just a quick stroll, about 500 meters from my accommodation, I found the exhilarating experience of parasailing over the azure waters—an unforgettable way to take in the breathtaking views of the coastline and the rugged Biokovo backdrop. I ventured further to Kacic Square, located 2 kilometers away, where the iconic statue of the 19th-century poet Andrija Kacic Miosic stands proudly, surrounded by lively cafés and shops. Not to be missed was the stunning St. Marc Cathedral nearby, showcasing beautiful architectural details and a peaceful ambiance that provided a moment of reflection amid the busy town life.

Delving into the local culture, I paid a visit to the Malacological Museum, also just 2 kilometers away, which offered fascinating insights into the diverse marine life of the Adriatic Sea. For those seeking a taste of the region's natural wonders, the Sveti Petar Lighthouse, located 2 kilometers along the coast, provides a scenic view and is a lovely spot for photographs. The tranquility of Plaza Ramova, approximately 1 kilometer away, was a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploration. With so many attractions within easy reach, including the beautiful landscapes of Bilosevac and the thrilling adventures of parasailing, my days in Makarska were filled with unforgettable memories.
